Profile of Sarah Germain

 

Sarah took part in a Social Accounting and Audit training programme in 2005, and became an approved Social Audit Chair in February 2008. She was the Regional Co-ordinator for Wales and a SAN Director between 2006 and 2010.

Sarah has worked with a number of social audit panels across Wales and in parts of England, and contributed to the 2011 rewrite of the Social Accounting Workbook and CD.

Sarah has been involved in delivering training and support on Social Accounting and Audit since 2005, has given presentations across the UK and in Europe and has even taught MSc students in Swansea.

Sarah is currently managing FareShare Cymru after establishing and setting up the organisation. FareShare Cymru source edible surplus food from the food industry supply chain and redistribute it to organisations that support people in need, fighting food poverty by tackling food waste

Sarah was previously a member of the senior management team at Cylch, working for the organisation between 2003 and 2012 and leading the Cylch team in the production of their own social accounts. She previously gained experience in environmental management including ISO14001 and the Green Dragon Award, starting her 'career' path as a volunteer many years ago. She has also undertaken a secondment to the Welsh Assembly Government, working to develop the revised waste strategy for Wales.
