Get trained to do Social Accounting

The two day Prove, Improve and Account (PIA) Workshop is aimed at people who wish to understand the Four Step social accounting process either in order to facilitate the process with social economy organisations or to use it within their own organisation. The cost will be £375 including a copy of the social accounting and audit guide & CD. (If you already have a manual & CD the cost is £350). The Workshop will go through the Four Step process in detail from the perspective of a facilitator/trainer.

Social Auditor Workshops are aimed specifically at those people wishing to become SAN approved Social Auditors. Participants should have sound prior knowledge and/or experience of the social accounting and audit process either by having used it for their own or another organisation or by having attended one of SAN's two-day PIA or similar SAN recognised training. The cost of the Social Auditor Workshop is £150.

SAN is able to deliver training over shorter periods and can also deliver training in measuring social impact.

SAN can tailor training for organizations. Please contact us direct or your Regional Co-ordinator.

Accreditation

Open College Network:

The Open College Network course Social Accounting and Audit for Community Organisations was approved by the Merseyside OCN in January 1999. This course has been updated and delivered in Merseyside, South West England, South Wales and Humber and Wolds.

For the OCN Accreditation which applies in most parts of the UK, contact SAN who will advise you of your nearest SAN member with OCN Approved Centre Status. An approved centre will talk with you about your requirements and costs.

ILM Endorsed Award in Social Accounting and Audit:

There is now recognition in Scotland for the learning involved in the social accounting and audit process. SAN has partnered with the Social Enterprise Academy to gain approval for a brand new qualification: the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) Endorsed Award in Social Accounting and Audit.

For the ILM Endorsed Awards which applies mostly in Scotland (although this accreditation also applies throughout the UK), contact the Social Enterprise Academy who will advise you about your requirements and costs.
